About Our Program

Our three-year program trains Family Medicine residents to deliver compassionate, evidence-based care across multiple settings—from outpatient clinics to maternity and behavioral health services.

Rural residency tracks benefit residents by providing hands-on experience with diverse and complex cases, developing a broad skill set, and fostering strong patient and community relationships, which can lead to increased job satisfaction and improved patient care in underserved areas.

Our Program’s Mission Statement is: “Wayne Memorial Community Health Centers Family Medicine Residency Program exists to grow exceptional Family physicians. Driven by a commitment to the highest quality patient-centered medical care, we are devoted to training compassionate physicians who are sensitive to the needs of rural and underserved areas. Through teaching, learning, research, and collaborative practice, our program will result in professional development that will benefit residents, faculty and the community to which we all are rooted. ”
