About the Provider
Michael Peterson, DO, was born in Norristown, PA. He is an internal medicine specialist and has been practicing medicine in the Northeastern Pennsylvania since 1993. He has spent his entire medical career in the same office under many business names including Wallenpaupack Medical Group, Highland Physicians and Pinnacle Health Partners until he joined Wayne Memorial Community Health Centers in 2015.
Dr. Peterson treats patients over the age of seventeen years old. He focuses on the D. O. philosophy, emphasizing the whole-person approach to treatment and care. D.O.’s are trained to listen and partner with their patients to help them get healthy and stay well. He manages chronic conditions including diabetes, hypertension, pulmonary and cardiac conditions. Dr. Peterson performs a full range of diagnostic and treatment services including acute conditions, EKG, arthrocentesis and physicals.
