About the Provider

In 2008, Melissa Rickard, CRNP, DNP-BC, joined Wayne Memorial Community Health Centers and worked at the Honesdale Family Health Center as a family nurse practitioner. In 2022, after earning a post graduate APRN certificate in psychiatric mental nurse practitioner, she joined Wayne Behavioral Health Center. As a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner, Melissa has training in psychotherapy and medication management. Melissa treats a variety of mental health conditions which include depression, anxiety, bipolar depression, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, addiction, post-traumatic stress disorder, schizophrenia, and schizoaffective disorder in the adult and geriatric populations. Melissa is a retired Major who served in the Air Force Reserve Nurse Corps and was deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.
