About the Provider
Barbara Chopyk, LCSW, is an embedded behavioral health therapist and a member of the Integrated Behavioral Health team of Wayne Memorial Community Health Centers. She collaborates with primary care providers in offering whole person care by supporting patient’s mental health and the impact their emotional wellbeing has on their physical health.
Barbara offers short-term, goal-oriented counseling for individuals across the lifespan—from pediatric through geriatric populations. Her approach is rooted in evidence-based practices, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and trauma-informed care.
Concerns addressed include anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, life transitions, and the emotional impact of chronic illness. For added convenience, Barbara aims to provide real-time access to therapy, coordinated with other office visits and utilizing a mix of in-person and telehealth services.
